A home that truly deserves to be called unique. Three of the four facades are completely clad with mirror panels that reflect the surroundings. The garage door, too, is part of this remarkable design. Where exactly is it? You only see it when the door opens…
This extraordinary villa is situated along a green avenue, where homes are set back from the road. Because the location was so unique, anything built there would have disrupted the surroundings. The solution was as bold as it was unique: The home was designed to blend into its environment. The mirrored façade reflects the landscape, allowing the building to visually disappear. And where the home merges with nature, the garage door does the same with the façade. The garage door, measuring over five metres in width, is fully integrated into the mirrored surface. When closed, it becomes indistinguishable from the rest of the façade.

This project is a prime example of the custom work we do every day at Different Doors. The home’s design called for a solution that couldn’t be found off the shelf. A standard garage door would have detracted from the mirrored facade, so we created one that seems to disappear. And the result speaks for itself…
