An impressive home, beautifully located by the water. At the front, we fitted the garage with a wooden sectional door, subtly mounted behind the opening. At the rear, at the boathouse, we created a second wooden sectional door and a matching pedestrian door. Both completely integrated into the facade.
What makes this project so unique is the fully wood clad boathouse at the rear of the home. The sectional door appears to float above the water, while the adjacent pedestrian door provides easy access to the boathouse. Both doors are almost invisibly integrated into the facade. On the street side, a second garage door, made from the same wood, creates unity in appearance. The other wooden elements are also perfectly matched. The result is one consistent style, all the way around the home.

The garage doors are clad with vertical wooden slats in various widths, creating a playful effect.
The wooden lines of the boathouse continue uninterrupted across the garage door and pedestrian door. Almost invisible when closed.
This project shows what Different Doors stands for: craftsmanship, flexibility and bespoke solutions down to the smallest detail. Even after installation, we implemented a smart adjustment. An additional section was added at the bottom of the garage door, extending into the water to prevent ducks from entering the boathouse.
